While working together at a printing company, in the mid 80's, the founding members first connected. Soon a forth and fifth would follow. We would go on to record our first original demo material at Overture Studio in Novi Mi.
As "Shelter", with new singer and a few years under our belt, we hit the Detroit rock scene around '87 and played venues from the Ritz and New York New-New York to The Foundry, St. Andrews Hall and the Infamous I-Rock.
After another change in the line-up, the band changed its name to The Naked Truth and with new front man, the core of the band was solidified. We would continue to write, record and play the Detroit scene through the 90's.
Same players, new name. After finding out "The Naked Truth" was in use by a signed band, we changed our name the The Voice of Reason or VOR and would record or first CD "The Search" and eventually opened a Detroit show for Quiet Riot
As with all things, times change and so do band mates. The years past, a couple player changes, recording projects and playing the clubs. The years passed and life takes us our separate ways... no bad blood, just life, but forever bandmates and friends.
So here it is over 30 years from that first time we jammed together, the creative force behind so many songs has returned to finish what we started. Though we are great distances apart, we still have something to say and so, it has begun again, on DAY23.
